Dear Piran/Alex,
Thanks for meeting Rob, Dan and I yesterday in what was a very useful discussion.
I have set out below key points of agreement/action:
Porches
The Submitted Canopy Porch Detail was discussed (Dwg No: (AD10)-19 02 rev C1).
It was confirmed that the porches do not arrive on site with roof tiles attached. They would be tiled on site to match the roof tiles approved on a plot by plot basis.
The soffit finish is a sheet of white GRP.
The brick plinths (where proposed) will match the approved brick for that plot.
Caps to be fitted to bolt heads.
All of the above was agreed as acceptable.
The only outstanding issue is the gable finish, which as proposed is a sheet of white GRP with grooves in to give a shiplap effect.
Action - Rob is to send a sample, a photo showing this finish or give details of a site where this can be viewed – PC then to further
comment.
Doors
The following was agreed (Door Brochure reattached for ease of reference):
Doors to be black across both sites.
Doors on SMP - NG04 and NG41 as already approved on plot by plot basis.
Doors on Stadium – NG17 on all market units with XD18 (Secured by Design range) on affordable units.
Boundary Treatments
PC welcomed the addition of the walls to the external finishes/material plans.
PC pointed out the relationship between low walls and hedges on a number of plots (typically corner plots), for example plots 267 and 273 in terms of practicality/maintenance. In areas where two combined treatments
in tight spaces consider rationalisation of treatment – Action – TW to review in discussion with sales.
PC raised the issue of the large lap fencing to rear boundaries, especially to rear alleyways – DH explained that we are proposing hit and miss fencing in some areas because of wind impact.
Action – TW to review and seek to amend external enclosure plans as necessary.
Other matters
A continuous grey dry verge to roof tiles to be used on the Stadium – note to be added to external finishes/materials plan.
A continuous black dry verge to roof tiles to be used on SMP – note to be added to external finishes/materials plan.
Garage doors on The Stadium to be black.
Stadium porch details – grey GRP and simple structure – PC/AK content in principle, but asked for a manufacturers detail/working drawing –
Action – TW to send to SDC.
PC/AK content with grey windows on the Stadium.
The stone effect roof details on the Stadium were discussed – these are stone coated GRP/similar given weight/health and safety implications of using real stone. We are proposing to use a bath stone colour.
DH/PC to liaise re a visit to site to review works at an appropriate time.
Regards,
David
